A year of possibilities.
For the holiday season, the Quebec Liberal Party wanted to develop its year-end card, which is sent to thousands of members throughout Quebec as well as to current and former MNAs and leaders. Because of the pandemic, the political party was looking for an identity that was sober, but also elegant, simple and different.
Challenges.
One of the major challenges was to integrate the colors of the political party, blue and red, in perfect harmony. It was also necessary to avoid certain colors that are associated with other political formations in Quebec. Another element to take into consideration was the space available in the card as the client wanted elements that were visible enough whilst leaving sufficient space for party members to write notes. The party also wished to incorporate elements of a new visual identity, Oser l’avenir, with a particularly dark blue color. With the 2022 election just one year away, the client also wanted to focus on the concept of hope, which is reflected in the text: "A year of possibilities".

Outcomes.
The final product is minimal, modern and sleek. The cover of the card is decorated with a red sky gradient in the shape of a Christmas ornament. The card strikes a balance between elegance and holiday traditions. Although the colors chosen reflect the new visual identity, its logotype is boldly integrated to the back of the card. The inside of the card is simple and neat with plenty of space to be filled with warm handwritten best wishes. With the choice of colors and layout, the overall aesthetic reflects an optimistic hope towards the upcoming year.
